Children’s & Youth Ministries
Children’s Ministry
FBCH Children’s Ministry has a very important purpose – to connect children to God and others. Our goal is to help children know God and to help them develop a relationship with Him in Christ. Our lessons challenge children with specific actions to take to engage with God and His church. We ensure a healthy and safe environment for the development of meaningful relationships with teachers and other children as they grow closer to God. In our ministry we strive to serve and love God by serving and loving children.
Student Ministry
FBC Hartselle Student Ministry seeks to be a village for students. In a village the people are dependent on one another. Each member of the village has to do his part and work together with others for the village to thrive.
While our students enjoy a dedicated facility designed to meet their learning style and comfort level, they are also an integral part of our congregation. FBC students are visible throughout all of the events and activities of the church; and they maintain a robust schedule of mission trips, youth conferences, and leisure activities. Our goals mirror those of FBC Hartselle as a whole. We want students to ENCOUNTER God in such a way that it causes them to GROW spiritually, and that growth will lead each member to SERVE in God’s kingdom while reaching out to others. We are an open village and we invite your 7th to 12th grade student to come and be a part of our village.
PALS Ministry
First Baptist Church seeks to minister to the community by serving families with affordable childcare. Our campus offers safe, nurturing facilities with age appropriate opportunities to help children learn the love of Christ through their senses – seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and tasting. We recognize that their love for Jesus begins at a young age. We want them to understand God’s love through the loving care they will receive from our qualified childcare providers. Follow THIS LINK to our PALS page.
Music Ministry
We currently have two styles of worship. In our 9am service we are Praise Team led in our Fellowship Hall with more modern songs and updated classics. During our 11am service we are Choir led in our Sanctuary with more traditional hymns and classic arrangements. If you would like more information on becoming a part of the Music Ministry at FBCH please contact the church office.
Men’s Ministry
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
Our men minister to the community, the church, and to one another by being actively involved in several on-going projects. One of the most recognizable is the Ramp Ministry in which they build ramps for people of the community who need wheelchair or handicapped accessible entrance to their residences. Depending on the expertise needed, you’ll find our men providing their skills and leadership in multiple ways throughout the life of the church. Our men are visible at all of the functions and activities of the church allowing them to be the spiritual leaders and setting the pace for leadership and ministry in the church.
Women’s Ministry
First Baptist women will be found “living out their faith” in a variety of ways. Some choose to participate in small group Bible studies in addition to their regular Sunday morning classes. Others serve on the bereavement committee to provide meals to members who have experienced a death in the family. Others help keep the Blessing Box sufficiently stocked, while yet another team makes sure that new parents are sufficiently showered with appropriate gifts for the new arrival. Some find their ministry in helping to keep our facilities beautiful and ready for worship. There are many opportunities for involvement and all that is needed to get active are willing hands and hearts! Someone in the church office can direct you to the appropriate person.
Senior Adult Ministry
The Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Hartselle offers opportunities for spiritual growth, warm fellowship, and genuine Christian service for the adults of our family of faith who have reached their ready-to-have fun years! Opportunities include our Pryme Tymers gathering once a month. This gathering includes an informative program, as well as delicious meal and warm fellowship. FBC senior adults enjoy traveling together on a regular basis with planned day trips offered throughout the year. Special annual events include our spring cook-out, fall picnic, and Christmas gathering. If you are looking for a great church that loves senior adults and has a special place for this active age group, First Baptist Hartselle is the place for you!
